Anna-Rosa Naanda drives success at Bank Windhoek

Anna-Rosa Naanda is a chartered accountant with over seven years of local and international post-qualification experience. She began her career in auditing at EY before transitioning to financial reporting at Old Mutual.

Her next career step took her to the United Kingdom, where she worked in private equity accounting for four years, focusing on investor relations and complex fund accounting. After returning to Namibia, Naanda joined Bank Windhoek as a financial reporting manager in May 2023, a decision she considers her best career move to date.

Her role involves preparing financial reports, overseeing tax compliance and ensuring alignment with regulatory standards.

Naanda finds great satisfaction in tackling complex financial challenges in support of the bank’s strategic goals.

She is passionate about continuous improvement, striving to refine processes and ensure compliance in a rapidly evolving financial landscape.

Naanda's expertise includes financial analysis, regulatory reporting and tax management, all underpinned by a strong knowledge of IFRS standards and Namibian tax law. She also brings project management skills to the table, ensuring timely financial reporting. As a chartered accountant, she holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Cape Town.

Naanda’s role at Bank Windhoek is both challenging and rewarding.

She is committed to enhancing the statutory reporting function to support the bank’s competitiveness while ensuring the accuracy and compliance of tax and financial filings, as well as playing a pivotal role in providing inputs that shape decisions driving the strategic direction of the business.

Her work directly impacts the bank's strategic direction, making it even more fulfilling. Her work motto is 'constantly strive to do better'.

This mindset fuels her drive to go beyond expectations, foster collaboration across departments and continuously improve financial practices.

Naanda values financial integrity and remains committed to influencing Bank Windhoek's growth and success.

Outside of work, Naanda enjoys exploring Namibia’s landscapes, travelling globally and reading. While she has a deep appreciation for James Patterson’s thrillers, her literary interests extend to books on finance and banking, which offer valuable insights into the complexities of the business world. Balancing work and personal life, she places great value on spending time with family, which remains one of her top priorities.
