Manetti appointed Letshego Namibia chief commercial officer

Letshego Namibia has announced the appointment of Ashante Manetti as its new chief commercial officer, marking an important step in the company’s effort to strengthen customer focus and commercial growth.

Manetti, a seasoned professional with experience across financial services, telecommunications, fast-moving consumer goods and advertising, brings strong expertise in customer strategy, marketing, and stakeholder engagement. Her appointment shows Letshego Namibia’s commitment to aligning its commercial priorities with sustainable growth and customer value.

Reflecting on what drew her into the commercial field, Manetti said that her curiosity about how businesses connect with people and influence choices guided her career path.

“What makes people behave commercially the way they do has always been of interest to me,” Manetti said.

Manetti said the new role is both exciting and a big responsibility. She added that it is not only a validation of her experience but also a chance to contribute meaningfully to Letshego Namibia’s future.

“I felt deeply honoured and grateful. It was an exciting moment, but also one that came with a strong sense of responsibility,” she said.

Looking back at her formative years, Manetti said her time in advertising taught her that successful marketing is about thoroughly considering customer interests and solving real commercial expectations.

“That experience showed me that successful marketing is not simply about creating attractive communication. It is about listening carefully, understanding what a client or customer needs and developing a solution that supports a clear business objective,” she said.

Manetti said that she intends to strengthen customer alignment across products, marketing, sales and distribution. She added that responsible growth, deepening customer relationships and ensuring that commercial strategies remain relevant are highly important business interventions.

“My priority is to listen and develop a thorough understanding of the business, our customers, our people and the market opportunities available to us,” she said.

Sharing her advice with young professionals, Manetti said success is built on patience, curiosity and continuous learning. She encouraged young Namibians to embrace small beginnings, seek mentorship and remain open to growth opportunities.

“Your dreams are valid. But do not underestimate the value of starting small, learning continuously and doing every task with excellence,” Manetti said.
